Privacy policy

Effective September 18, 2026. This policy covers the Local Git iPhone app and this website.

Files and credentials

Local Git works in a folder you select under On My iPhone. Repository files, Git history, and app settings remain on your device unless you choose to synchronize with a connected Git host. Provider credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain. The app does not upload your repository files to our feedback service as part of normal synchronization.

Git hosting and sign-in

When you connect an account, the app opens the provider's authorization page. Our Cloudflare service exchanges the authorization code with GitHub or GitLab; it does not store the resulting credential. Repository listing, fetch, and push operations communicate with the selected Git host. Files and account data sent to that host are governed by its privacy policy.

Website and service requests

Cloudflare processes network requests needed to serve this website, exchange sign-in codes, and receive feedback. We do not use the app to serve ads or track activity across other companies' apps and websites.

Feedback you choose to send

If you submit feedback, our Cloudflare service stores the message, an optional reply email, your connected GitHub login when present, and any screenshot or screen recording you attach. Attachments are sent only when you select them. We use this information to investigate the report and respond if you provide an email. Feedback is kept until it is deleted by the maintainer; you can request deletion using the contact address below. Include the approximate submission date and any reply email so we can locate it.

Contact and requests

For privacy questions or a feedback deletion request, email hoanguyen.rin@gmail.com. We may ask for enough detail to identify the report before deleting it.
